March 2017

  • All the 34 GSPs selected in the first batch have signed the GSP Agreement.
  • Certain clarifications were sought by some of these first batch of GSPs on some clauses of the Agreement. The explanatory notes to the questions that were issued by GSTN are available at Explanatory Notes and Clarifications to Agreement - March 2017

December 2016 to February 2017

  • The list of the successful and qualified GSPs can be viewed at Qualified GSPs.pdf
  • The onboarding of GSP process is concluded with signing of the agreement between GSTN and each GSP. (The draft agreement can be viewed at Agreement_GSP_legal_standard_draft.pdf
  • A workshop was held on 7th February 2017 for all the GSP's

Past Activities (October to December)

  • Out of the 343 registrants, 132 applications were received and scrutinised against the eligibility criteria prescribed for becoming a GSP.

    The proposed GST envisages complete paperless tax filing, which requires user friendly tools for

    • Uploading e-signed invoices & returns.
    • Making tax payments.
    • Electronic signing etc.

    To realize this dream GSTN is powering GST IT System and releasing APIs to enable industry making their existing/new products GST compliant. Further, the key demands for the strong eco-system will be:

    • Software products - Accounting, Payment solutions.
    • Digital signature certificates/e-signatures.
    • Innovative solutions for e-disconnected taxpayers.

    • For this GSTN is organizing series of workshops, starting from Bengaluru.

    • Registration was opened for the prospective GSP applicants to register for the workshop.
